Hi all,

My stepdad's been having trouble with his C5 not starting (Also windows wouldn't go up). He tried lots of things including new battery and new starter motor, leads, jumpstart in the garage. It would turn over but wouldn't start.

Today, he got my mum to tow him out the garage and down the road and try to start it... it worked!

He thought once he turned off the car it probably wouldn't start again, but it is everytime.

He's stumped as to why, anyone got any clues what could have been the issue?

Electric windows not behaving and also lots of other small electrical faults can often be corrected by doing a BSI reset. This is what may have happened when you changed the battery.
