Just got a 03 plate C5VTR estate, 134000 miles runs a drives great.

Had the usual problems with the doors staying locked sometimes whenever they feel likeit.

Just a few things i have noticed are they anything to be concerned about.

Glow plug light does not come on when starting up.

Temp. gauge works when it wants to.

Cannot seem to get 12v acessory sockets to work.

Boot suspension switch doesn't work.

Are these just trivial things or do they have greater meaning.

I do not think there is anything wrong with the suspension as it sits up when i get in and doesn't sink to the ground overnight.

Cheers

Glow plug light wont be seen untill temperatures below freezing are experienced.

Accessorie socket and boot height control......have you checked the fuses?

Temperature gauge if were talking about outside temperature its the sensor in the mirror. If its the engine temperature wouldnt suprise me if its the sensor on the engine.....there not the most reliable component.

Yes sorry its the engiene temp that reads sometimes, and the fuses are fine..

I take it the control in the boot should be pressed withoutthe engiene running and you should be able to see it move.

Also any good garages round Manchester way, its due it next service in 2500 miles.

had same prob with boot switch / socket . check fuses, but don't trust handbook as to which fuse is which ! just pull 'em all out 1 by 1

from memory 15amp blue in glovebox?

whilst towing caravan in france this year temp gauge went skyward with 38deg plus temps going uphill, aircon went off first then computer flashed warning on display. would say not to worry too much about gauge over winter. no doubt someone will prove me wrong?
