Has anyone tried adding electric RWD to a C5 wagon, to achieve AWD?

There seems to be space in the spare wheel well for 2 electric motors.

My wife and I want to do a caravanning trip arpimd Australia (a 'lap').

The C5 has 2.000 kg towing GVM, but only 75 kg max ball load,

probably limited by the long rear overhang 'lifting' the front driving wheels and losing traction.

AWD will also take us places that FWD cannot.  Many roads are signposted "4WD ONLY".

We love the comfort and economy of our diesel C5 and don't want to buy a 4WD.

Can anyone in Australia, or anywhere else, help?

Many thanks,

Ross Lander

PS

A good alternative would be a diesel DS Safari wagon, if they were ever made.
