toby8189 Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 Hi I'm new on hear just bought a 2001 relay and its crunching in 2nd and 4th gear its the 1.9 non turbo engine. I am happy to take out the box for recon but I would like to know the best way of checking the cable operation and the movement of the arm in case its that causing the problem. The last fella had a clutch put in but it didnt cure it, I have heard the gearbox stories about these common fault etc but want to make sure before I waste a Saturday. Thinking maybe about Molyslip to cure it?..Also there are lots of differing opinions on how easy the box comes out it looks like theres loads of room to do it so maybe people are taking about other engines, turboed etc Anyway any comments feedback is appreciated Thanks Toby Quote
