numbersix Posted August 2, 2004 Posted August 2, 2004 Six months on and still smiling! Not that many miles on the clock at 3k, but in a two car family this happens .Beeby is a weekend girl at heart and stoically copes with the weekly shop, then to B&Q, or the garden centre without having to spill her innards inbetween. She also has another suitor in the guise of Dr Hemlock , who fell for her charms whilst helping to move a potter's wheel. As regards entertaining the children , Beeby has no equall.Forget the fact that you can keep all those toys, and DVD players food and drink to keep the kids occupied to Mars and back .Beeby is a play centre in her own right . The kids love playing games like dropping 1/3 seat down putting the cover over and playing dens , or dropping all the seat and limbo dancing , and all sorts of things that only the mind of a child can appreciate . Indeed , the girl is frugal, eye-catching, steady and sure footed , but no speed merchant , which actually means that she is fit for purpose , and at terrific value .The longer our relationship, the less I consider her faults , more I consider them idiosyncrasies .The only true downside is that this car would enhance or be consistant with my very individual personality .And it would appear that the main contributers to this forum are probably similar .But , where six months ago Beeby and I stood out, we are no longer alone.Still, better to be a trail blazer or trend setter , than to follow the trend . So, and to the next six months....and beyond!!! Be seeing you!! Quote

[/quote] Agreed..... Another reason for me to have ditched the BMW MINI..... but the upside of popularity is greater demand and provided the market's not flooded, better residual values. I certainly had no difficulty in selling by Mk1 'Lingo in October... Beating 'em off I was! .... Be seeing you here... and there, I hope! Tron Quote
Terry1100 Posted August 3, 2004 Posted August 3, 2004 Amen to all that. We're only a couple of months into the Blingo but I wouldn't go back to a Picasso even if they were cheaper. My only real complaint is why oh why did they bother multiplexing the wiring if they weren't going to put in digital dash, trip computer, windows that worked after the ign turned off etc. Quote

Don't say that!! They'll be branding YOU as a Luddite too! I LOVE wires, Me! Tron X Quote
Oxymoron Posted August 8, 2004 Posted August 8, 2004 Hi, We have clocked up about 6K miles so far and have just spent a week avoiding ponies and 4X4 soft roaders in the New Forest! :( The Berlingo's ground clearance certainly helps when faced with a herd of cattle and ponies on one side of the road and a 4x4 which doesn't want to dirty it's wheels on the other! We now have another Berlingo in the family, as the father in-law has just succumbed and now has an '04 1.6 Desire in Poseidon blue. Who wants a 4 door euro-saloon?? Cheerz. Quote
