olipoole Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 Hi all, My beloved Citroen C3 has been a bit of a pain since I got it a couple of years ago - the electrics are a nightmare! I've had blown bulbs and fuses aplenty. But this week, I've noticed a recurring issue of my dashboard resetting the time and date back to 2004, coupled with it struggling to start, turning over several times before actually starting. I'm a complete numpty with cars and it's booked into the garage on Tuesday. But does this sound like a battery issue, or something else? I know a service last December highlighted the battery had a low charge but has been fine since. Cheers, Oli Quote
Johndouglas Posted August 7, 2015 Posted August 7, 2015 I think you first need to get your battery tested. If you have a volt meter your battery should give a reading of 12.6 or higher first thing before starting. I don't know about C3s but on C5s a failing battery can lead to various electrical anomalies. Which engine do you have? Quote
olipoole Posted August 7, 2015 Author Posted August 7, 2015 Thanks John. It's a 1.1 litre, C3 Airplay + model. I think battery is the likely cause. Quote
