Hello,

I sure hope someone can help me with my problem. So I have a 2003 Xsara Break car. I was messing with my radio when then I think I did something wrong and it caused my car to go into "Eco Mod". Now the car will not start! The motor turn but it does not start. On the dash the Immobilizer light comes on when I try to start the car. The remote key also does not open the doors or do anything. I tried the spare key but it also does not start the car.

So I need HELP!!!

I have searched everywhere in Internet for help but nothing has worked. There are some help ideas that require me to open the windows and turn the key, but I can not open the windows while the car is in Eco Mod.

Someone told me that there is a way to get out of Immobilizer mode by keeping the key ignition to On for 25 minutes, then start the motor. But it did not work, or I did not do it correct. If someone knows about this, please tell me how to do it.

So again, I really hope I can find help in the forum.

Economy mode is something all Citroens & Peugeots do after between 5 & 30 minutes to prevent the battery running too low to restart the engine.   I can't guarantee that this will work but try it - Switch on the ignition but do not start the engine. Hold down the lock button on the remote for 10 seconds whilst the key is still in the ignition. Switch off the ignition and remove the key. Open and close a door and try the locking system. See if the engine starts.

Thanks John, Yeah, I know the Eco Mod is a normal feature and it goes away once I start the engine, but I can't start the engine until I have the immobilizer disabled. I have tried that pressing  lock button thing, but I will try it again, I hear the timing might be critical.
