jxp004 Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Hi, some friendly driver recently caught the cornet of my front bumper and has knocked it slightly out of line and left a nasty scrape on the bumper insert. Not too worried about the cosmetic damage but was thinking of removing/loosening the bumper to try to realign it. Like I say only a bit out so may leave but anyone removed theirs? Are there many fixings that are not obvious? I expect there will be some behind the wheel arch liners? CheersJXP Quote
Johndouglas Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 When I had my Mk2 I had the front off a couple of times. Once to do the side light bulbs and again to do the washer pump. There are bolts under the bonnet edge; more underneath the bumper and some under the wheel arches. When they are all removed, the sides of the bumper need to be moved forward slightly and then pulled outwards to release the clips which you can see in my picture. They are just moulded plastic so need to be treated carefully. Frankly I would just use some spray paint and leave the bumper alone. Quote
