clanixion Posted October 30, 2006 Posted October 30, 2006 Having just go the beat of burden back from a front end smash, I am convinced that the OSF head light is pointing downwards more than the NSF. After a quick peek under the bonnet I have noticed that the reflector for the light swings up and down (I assume this is how the internal height adjustment thing works) when you push it but is there a way to set the start and end points of the available adjustment ? clanixion Posted October 31, 2006 Author Posted October 31, 2006 Right, this is driving me nuts. I live in a rural area and a lot of my driving is on country roads at night where there are no street lights. The current pattern of my headlights is causing havoc as I am convinced that the head lights are shining in a downward direction thus limiting the distance I can see up the road. As far as I can make out, the headlights are only adjustable for height to compensate for load. It looks to me as if the NS light is OK-ish whereas the OS light is angled acutely downward. Does anyone have any idea what kind of pattern head lights should give out ? Quote
DickieG Posted November 1, 2006 Posted November 1, 2006 As well as the dash adjustment wheel there are two socket hex bolts on the headlights themselves. One adjusts vertical, the other horozontally. It may be that the bulb is not seated correctly in the headlight. The beam pattern is the same as any other car, i.e. Higher on the N/S then flat towards the O/S. Quote
clanixion Posted November 1, 2006 Author Posted November 1, 2006 Found it ! It's a white plastic allen key type screw thingy - a few turns and all is well. Quote
