rpsamme Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Just had this message pop up on the computer and checked and it looks like the radiator fluid is quite low. Had the cam belt and water pump changed in November and the fluid was replaced. I will top the fluid up, but is this something I need to worry about. I am to France in it in 2 weeks and just wondering if I should get a garage to look at it before I go? Thanks Richard Quote
coastline taxis Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 is this the 1st time youve checked it since the pump was done Quote
rpsamme Posted May 10, 2016 Author Posted May 10, 2016 Font Of Knowledge, Yes this is the first time I have noticed since the pump was replaced. Looking on the internet the most common problem looks like the head gasket, when the garage did the belts and pump would they not have seen if the gasket was on the way out? Quote
ESL57 Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 V6 needs all the cooling they can get.The under bonnet temps are enormous. You should be fastidious in checking coolant.. Make sure you don't have a leaky plastic tank, as they frequently split. Quote
