ifigureditout Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 i got the job i went for and i'm starting in january. so that means that i will be ordering my c4 at the end of january. just wondering whats the waiting times on these? bare in mind it will be with jbl, sat nav, panoramic sunroof and leather so i'm guessing the options will add time on. citroeneddie Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 My guess 6 to 8 weeks for factory order. Quote
wozza Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Up to around 12 - 14 weeks usually at the most. Quote
ifigureditout Posted November 16, 2006 Author Posted November 16, 2006 eeee thats a bit long. soooo tempting to order before i've even started work lol Quote
DJVile Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 I know exactly how you feel. I have been waiting for over 6 weeks so far and not heard anything yet. so its not even in the country yet. Hey, prob not even built yet. Your dealer is going to have so much fun trying to order that car for you. Mine had a few problems. First the extra options i added meant that the order had to be done manually. Then the order was only acknowledged after 6 or so emails chasing it up. A few days later, the dealer received a phone call from france sayin that i couldnt have the JBL system because it doesnt fit. Helloooo, Its a factory fitted option. Stupid french car production workers. Now its all sorted. just got to wait for it now. Quote
lee_marshuk Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Looks like you're having a pretty similar spec to me - I waited 16 weeks for mine  Quote
ifigureditout Posted November 16, 2006 Author Posted November 16, 2006 16 weeks? argh! well im selling my clio and buying a cheap runaround to last until february. probably an N reg Mondeo lol. I can't be waiting that long and put up with a 300 quid mondeo for that long! Quote
wozza Posted November 16, 2006 Posted November 16, 2006 Bare in mind the rest of us did get our cars when they were a little rarer so might not be so bad now. I had to wait 12 weeks just cause I wanted a red one how about that. If i had gone with my original choice of black it would have been a couple weeks at most. But it was worth it. Quote
citroeneddie Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Why so long for factory ordered C4's? My Picasso with rear sensors was 6 weeks and C1 about 4 weeks. Are French workers slower then? Quote
Rich_Eason Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 They have alot of Public Holidays and are probably still trying to get the August shut down backlog through... ifigureditoutCongrats on getting the new job by the way... Quote
Ciaran2903 Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I was just about to congtratulate you on your job as well!! :) How rude of us not to do it sooner! Quote
ifigureditout Posted November 17, 2006 Author Posted November 17, 2006 lol thankyou. i can't wait to get started. wish there were more used c4's about but i definately have to have a few of those options so it looks like little choice if i want my exact car. Quote
CoolCarbon Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 I'm picking up my new coupe, week on Monday, it's taken 7 weeks from order and it's been spec'd up to leather, glass roof and JBL as well as the Paddle shift.... 'T' minus 9 days and counting.... :) Oh, congrats on the new jobs too..... Quote
ifigureditout Posted November 17, 2006 Author Posted November 17, 2006 get some pics up of it with the leather and glass roof when you get it coolcarbon cos i've found it really hard to find any pics of these other than the brochure and the dealers near me don't have any in Quote
lee_marshuk Posted November 17, 2006 Posted November 17, 2006 Can't help you out with the glass roof, but if you check past posts I'd uploaded some of my leather, jbl, navidrive etc etc congrats on new job, of course! Quote

They seem to be as rare as rocking horse poo..... No dealer locally had any to peek at and as you say, there is a real lack of detailed shots in citroens' press pack photos Good to see that the door cards have leather too, that small strip of fabric by the grab slot gets grubby, bad idea in my view.... ifigureditout Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 that interior is beautiful. still very much wanting a c4 but may wait till in a years time. more money behind me etc. get my clio fixed up and have that for a year. plus i wanna see if they bring out a facelift model of the c4 Quote
wozza Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 There SHOULD be a face lift model out next year apparently. Seen on a few sites there supposed to be releasing one. 2008 there supposed to be bringing the Coupe Cabrio out. Quote
ifigureditout Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 yeah and once my car is fixed up its a perfectly nice car for another year or so. get more money behind me and buy a c4 then Quote
citroeneddie Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 C4 Coupe Cabriolet, imagine the cost of repair when the warranty runs out ;) , and you were one of the first ones to buy without cashback :o Quote
ifigureditout Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 not sure on the cabriolet tbh, if it looks like what other cabriolet versions of hatchbacks do Quote
DJVile Posted November 18, 2006 Posted November 18, 2006 I think its gona have to be something special. IMO i hate it when manufacturers produce a cabriolet by chopping the roof off an existing car and just simply replace it with a folding roof. There are only a handfull of cars that that look good like that. If you want a really decent Cabriolet, then you should get one that has been designed from the start to be a cabriolet! I hope it doesnt look nice. Otherwise i mite have to buy one!! Quote
ifigureditout Posted November 18, 2006 Author Posted November 18, 2006 yeah i mean look at the 206cc and 306cc and mini convertible. ewwww. Quote
