Where you can set the central dash display to be blank? You can have normal display, inverted display or blank....... off the top of my head cant remember the button sequence....

However your right....Not quite sure what benefit this option has as it just means you cant see what radio station your on, MPG, Time date etc....

I think its just another measure to prevent glare at night...

in the citroen brochure at the back of one of them there is a list of everything the cars come with as standard and the "black panel" is listed there

Ah...

Sounds like its an option they rely on to make the lower spec cars sound higher spec I'd imagine.

They usually quote things like glove box lid and interior lights as other "features" for the base models...I guess it makes it a bit sexier

Have got the black panel function on my VTR+ it turns off the rev counter, climate control and radio displays - no lights or info, it also removes all info with the exception of speedo on the main central display (other exception is cruise control or speed limiter) annoyingly it also removes the illumination for the steering wheel buttons (a little too much of a good thing).

I like it especially on unlit roads as it cuts down the glare considerably when combined with the dimmer.

Just touch the button and it springs back on again or any radio control or climate control button.

Nice ;)

I find that the AC/Heater Display can reflect up into the windscreen which is a bit anoying.

I didnt realise until the other night that if you hold down the half white, half dark circle button you can assign different functions to it, such as turn on off interior lighting....

My VT has the "Dark" feature where the internal lights can be switched off, but that function was only accessible through the standard stereo, which I no longer use..

Did have it useful anyways! B)
