I have a 1997 Xantia estate, and have a problem with front end vibration. I've had all the suspension and steering checked, also all at the rear, with no problems. All the tyres were changed and balanced, with no difference, so the original tyres were replaced. Engine mountings are OK, so my helpful garage is dumbfounded. His last comment was that it could be a drive shaft.

Any ideas?

hope this helps

but i once had this problem with a vr6 golf i ended up finding a garage with a really old on the car wheel balance machine it fixed the problem

but if you ever take the front wheels off they have to go back in exactly the same place

When do you feel the vibration, at speed or when accelerating from slow speeds on say second gear?

If its at slow speed in a low gear such as second then it could well be a driveshaft, but do bear in mind that if you have the XUD TD engine in your car that Citroens are prone to it. I've felt it in several Xantia's and ZX's.
