ross Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I know it has nothing to do with the c4, but i thought id get opinion on the matter as you lot seem to know a fair bit more than me about motors lol.... basically ive got just over 3 grand to spend on a car. cant buy a c4 i know! i currently drive a pug 106 w reg which im fed up of to be fair. im thinking of swapping it for either a C2, the corsa (not the new model) or the pug 206. looking at a 1.2-1.6 engine, nowt too fancy lol. just wondering what the best car outta the three would be worth buying? wozza Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 206 or C2 to be honest. Out oft hose the C2 is the better handling car. then the 206 and the corsa trails in just about everything. Have driven one did not like it. Although the 1.0 3 cylinder engine sounds quite nice for what it is sounds more powerful than it is. as it is absolutely gutless. Thought about a clio as well? the newer models could be picked up for similar money and i would rate them above the competition. or a 106 gti if you fancy staying with a 106 but want a 1.6 engine there quick but depends on how old you are and ncb you have as there group 13 or 14 insurance so might be a little expensive. Mike5483 Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I saw a brand spanking new, 56 plate old style Clio the other day. Have you seen the back of it??? Its got a smooth tailgate and the numberplate is now in the bumper. Looks quite funky. Cheap to I bet. Quote
ifigureditout Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I've currently got an 02 plate clio dynamique/extreme. Its a brilliant car. Cheap to run and insure and has more extras than other hatches. Can you pick up c2's for that cheap? Even if you can the clio has more spec for the same money. Bet you could get a nice clio dynamique for 500 under your budget Quote
welshys90 Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 i think you should get a kit car, very un practical but fun  Quote
jonfish Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 A well looked after but relatively high mileage Yaris with full Toyota dealer service history from new. What ? They're made in France - honest. Quote
ross Posted December 21, 2006 Author Posted December 21, 2006 yeah id never considered the clio really. Are corsas really that shite lol? whats the 206 like? are the pedals offset and close together like they are on the 106? i dont really want another pugeot to be honest. Quote
ham's c4vts Posted December 21, 2006 Posted December 21, 2006 are the pedals offset and close together like they are on the 106? yes they are, most if not all the small cars are like that. Quote
