Mike5483 Posted December 22, 2006 Posted December 22, 2006 Massive thanks to KFK. You might remember from a short while ago that I had taken my car to Hidsnons in Gravesend and they told me the car needed a new clutch, but it would cost me £450 if they investigated and found nothing wrong. I became a bit hacked off with this and so KFK stepped in. The long and short is, my car has just spent the last 3 days in KFK's company at Hidsons in Rainham and I cant fault anything that he has done for me. He spoke to the service manager for me at Gravesend and they allowed the work to be done at Rainham. So on Wednesday morning, I dropped my car off at Gravesend and picked up the C1 courtesy car again. My car was then collected from Gravesend and taken to Rainham, where it has had a new Catalytic converter, Middle box, Clutch and clutch fork, plus the XYT recall and a new radiator free of charge. It has also had new brakes all round to try and cure a juddering under brakeing. I'm waiting until they are bedded in before I test this myself. Also, whilst on a test drive, the tester heard the cracking coming for the suspension. Whilst nothing has been done about this yet, at least it has now been heard by someone at a dealership, so I can get this booked in and investigated at a later date. The car was dropped back up to Gravesned to day, with all the work completed, plus it had been cleaned inside and out. I am just so pleased that someone has listened to me and not just tried to fob me off. So, as I say, I extend massive thanks and praise to KFK for stepping in and sorting this out for me. Quote

Mike5483 Posted December 23, 2006 Author Posted December 23, 2006 Thanks, I'd appreciate that very much. When I have time i'm going to sit down and write a letter to send to your dealership to. The car feels lovely now. Ive just been out in it. The clutch is smooth as silk, and it feels like it pulls a lot more strongly, possibly down to the new Cat, I dont know. Quote
