Hi I have a 96 Xantia 1.9td Est, recently the suspension has become bouncy, a few months ago I noticed I had a leak on the LHM pump at on of the pipe connections, which I managed to cure, but recently I have this new problem with the suspension, on start up the front comes up straight away, the back takes longer, and somewhat slower than the front. When driving the car seems to bouncy when driving even at slow speeds, mainly when encountering undulations in the road surface, pot holes don't appear to be a problem, so I am thinking this could be a ride height problem, would changing the ride height adjuster solve thie problem?

Its more than likely due to the front sphere's requiring replacement.

The reason the front of the car rises so quickly compared to the back is that the front sphere's have lost their gas so the hydraulic fluid immediatly pressurises a 'solid' sphere rather than compressing the gas.

Hence the quick rising and bouncy ride.
