My mk1 manual has the worst looking gear knob its scratched to bits (due to wedding ring) cheep nasty bit of plastic .I have noticed that the mk2 has a metal one can this be fitted ? a how much do they go for any ideas

The Mk2 has a metal one........yup, it cracks around the gear numbers and causes you to have to wear a plaster on your hand.

 

Yes it will fit.

I rather my Sensodrive Gear stick on my MK1 C3 to my brothers on His MK2 C3.

I've got the same problem with mine, but since I've no plans to sell the car I'm living with it.

 

You could always get a universal aftermarket gearlever knob from somewhere like Halfords or Motor World if you didn't want to pay genuine Citroen prices - or try a salvage agent for a second hand one. Most salvage agents will sell you one off the shelf.
