Can someone help.I have a 1995 Citroen Xantia 1.9 td.A fine machine but ABS light stays on constantly.I have had an Auto Electrician out and he tested the relevant pins in the ABS plug.He says that both of the front sensors are not giving any reading although the backs are working fine.He suggests replacement of the two front sensors. On finding out the cost of replacement I went on the internet and discovered that certain ABS ECU'S are faulty and I have one of the corresponding numbers. Is it likely that both sensors have gone at the same time.

Thank You

Its certainly possible to have both front sensors faulty, the best route from here is to test each sensor directly with an OHM meter.

Remove each front wheel then follow the sensor lead into the subframe where it connects onto the main loom. Separate the joint and test the sensor, if its broken then you'll get an open circuit, if its Ok then a reading of about 1098.
