thiswayup Posted March 11, 2007 Posted March 11, 2007 My car is a 2001 C5 with the standard cd radio fitted. Everything works fine but I cant get the option of "auto volume" to work even though I can select "yes" in the options. Please forgive me if I'm stating the obvious but the unit has the facility to adjust the volume depending on the speed/noise of the car( a sort of compensator). I seem to remember hearing somewhere that this option has to be enabled by the main dealer but find this hard to accept as it seems such an easy option. Any advice please. Quote
thiswayup Posted March 20, 2007 Author Posted March 20, 2007 How do you know it's not working? Its quite plain to hear that there is no increase in volume, and that I have to increase the volume manually when at speed to maintain a level that can be heard. Quote
Johndouglas Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I have the same problem on my 2005 C5. Although I have it programmed on the centre display, speed makes absolutely no difference to the volume. It's been like that from new. It doesn't really worry me! Quote
shallishanti? Posted March 26, 2007 Posted March 26, 2007 I can't tell if mine works or not. Sometimes I find I have to turn the volume up a bit when on the motorway, but Icouldn't say for sure that it doesn't auto adjust at all. If it's any consolation (probably not) my last car (Fraud) was the same. Quote

geog Posted June 2, 2007 Posted June 2, 2007 HI, I am George from Taiwan, I have a XSARA 2004, and I learned this problem, the spped on is different as we thought, it works the volume down when speed up, not volume up when speed up. Every time when I am off the high way, the radio become louder. Quote
