Guest julie Posted April 14, 2007 Posted April 14, 2007 hi, i purchased a new berlingo 16 hdi xtr 75 model, had the 1.9 previous to this, no problems in 4 year, the 16 hdi, seems to groan all the time, not even sure i like the car yet, i do like the extra bit of nippenesss it gives, but round the doors at 30 mph, all it does is groan, in fact i have named my car the groaner, it just does not like 30, i have tried changing down into 3rd, but i find i cant drive round in 3rd all the time, does anyone else have this problem, it really is putting me off , other than this, it is great, great bit power when i need it, ideal on motorways. great for putting mothers trolley in the back. just come bask from camping , great again. but in my eyes it is the groaner Quote

DickieG Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Its a large black plastic pipe that runs from the top of the engine to the back of it just to the passenger side of centre. With the engine running, have feel of the plastic pipes and see if touching one of them causes a change of engine note. Quote
DesdinovaUK2 Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 Hi Julie, I see from another post you're in Sunderland - another makkem on here at last! Was born and bred there, before eventually moving here down south. Parents still live there though. Quote
