sv2evo Posted April 15, 2007 Posted April 15, 2007 When I unlock the doors there is the normal sound of the hydraulic pump moving the car into position before I start the engine. However, sometimes, once the car is pumped up and ready, the front drops a few inches, then the pump whirs and bring it up again, then it drops again etc. That cycle takes a minute or so. Same thing happens sometimes when the engine is running but the car is stationary. Is this normal? Quote

Is this normal? mine does this too.it is actually quite funny watching it bob up then back down a few seconds later.i usually put the suspension right down and then back up to normal to stop it. If you leave the car unlocked for a long time this will flatten the battery. I would check that the height sensors/correctors are not covered in crud or close to seizing. If they are then a squirt with WD40 might not go amiss. Please do a search for the problem and solution with pictures of the height correctors. Quote

Suspension Raising - Different problem Looks like you may as well give them a squirt? Front one is slightly harder to find but not too hard, as it looks the same. For a recon pump, you might want to peruse the BBA Reman Citroen Active suspension pump page. OTOH, you may not. Approach an indie for a pump swap out quote. In that thread matey got a result with the Coastline Taxis advice. Quote
