I have recently bought a 2002 berlingo diesel van and it has run rearly well for the last 1000 miles. I went to start it this morning and there appears to be a fault and the symptoms are these

The only dash lights that come on are the oil and airbag lights

The wipers, hazards, and fan dont work.

The car turns over fine but doesnt fire up.

Ive checked the fuses and they all seem ok

I disconnected the battery and put key in ignition and turned on left for 20 seconds turned off and then tried starting again to recode the key, but it still wont work.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

do you know if the vehicle has had a windscreen fitted recently?.....its not unusual for a screen if replaced to leak from the drivers side top corner, and run down under the dash to drip all over the main computer which is above pedal assy.

If the screen is leaking you need to get it fixed and probably replace the BSI (main computer) it is unlikely this will dry out and work properly again.

No sign of a leak, checked all fuses and all working now execpt the indicators and the wipers. the battery went flat will this effect anything, also the BSI was removed to check condition will this need any work coding etc.

thanks
