Just spoke to a garage over the phone and they have said i may have a fault with my BCI can anyone tell me what a BCI is and what it does. What are the associated faults if this goes wrong and is it easy to change.

Thanks

it's bsi mate and stands for built in system interface. it recives signals from horn, indicators, wiper switches etc, translates them and then sends a feed to whichever component you activated. faults can be anything. airbags, hanbrake light, milage incorrect. could go on forever.

On the Berlingo, the BSI is built in to the indicator stalk. In Citroen speak it's called the "Comms 2000" unit, and costs a couple of hundred quid to replace.

no its not. its to the right of the steering wheel. its the black box that the fuses are in.

does anyone know where i can get a bsi repaired ? i have had a diagnostic check done at a main dealer which indicated a faulty bsi. i do not fancy paying the best part of 300 quid to have a new one fitted. any help will be greatly appreciated.
