white knight Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 Just spoke to a garage over the phone and they have said i may have a fault with my BCI can anyone tell me what a BCI is and what it does. What are the associated faults if this goes wrong and is it easy to change. Thanks Chris Quote
iannez Posted July 9, 2007 Posted July 9, 2007 it's bsi mate and stands for built in system interface. it recives signals from horn, indicators, wiper switches etc, translates them and then sends a feed to whichever component you activated. faults can be anything. airbags, hanbrake light, milage incorrect. could go on forever. iannez Posted July 10, 2007 Posted July 10, 2007 you sure its not just a flat battery and the vans in eco mode. turn the headlights on and see if the dash lights go dim. Quote

In Citroen speak it's called the "Comms 2000" unit, and costs a couple of hundred quid to replace. Quote
