premacyblue Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 I live in a very muddy area in the country and have always fitted mudflaps myself to all cars I have bought in the past. I looked through the accessories booklet to find front and rear are £29 a pair which is a very reasonable price. However, when looking at the small print I found the garage must fit these small pieces of plastic for £55+ for front and £60+ for rear!!!!! Why is it so difficult to fit these yourself? As an Engineer I've fitted some of the most complex machinery together and looking at the location for these I could fit them all in about 30 minutes. I then found fitting of Sill Covers (glue them in) and windscreen draught excluders x4 (clip into windscreen slots) are also a garage fitment yet it took me about 10 minutes to fit these to other car marques. Has anyone actually paid these rip off prices to get parts fitted? I'll look on the internet for alternatives as it will work out cheaper in the long run Quote
Spiz Posted August 7, 2007 Posted August 7, 2007 Greetings.I recently purchased a rear set for my C3.The fitting procedure involves the drilling of 3 holes and fitting of 3 clips that the screws thread into. Quite simple, and the instructions and hardware come in the box. CheersSpiz Quote

We own a C4 Picasso aswell as a C3 and we got the scuff plates. What's worse, you actually don't have to glue them in, so it's even LESS work than you thought. You just peel off the back and stick on! If you can source the mudflaps I'm sure someone like yourself could fit them, but I think I'd struggle...also if ANYBODY can source door sill protectors (original Citroen, theyre the black ones) can you please, please let me know. I've tried entire UK, clearence specialists, Spain, France....help? Good luck with your venture, Martin Quote
Hook Posted September 1, 2007 Posted September 1, 2007 Just noticed there's a set of front flaps on E-Bay at the moment. Genuine Citroen, new and boxed for £10 'buy it now'. Finishing 8th September. A bargain for someone. Quote
Johndouglas Posted September 8, 2007 Posted September 8, 2007 I haven't fitted flaps to a C3 however, I've fited them to my C5 and the Xsara. I didn't use Citroen flaps either. Just Cannon flaps bought off Ebay - and no problems fitting them. Quote
