Hi all,

was wandering if someone may be able to help. I've recently bought a '97 saxo after my faithful AX went to the scrapyard in the sky. But its recently started to make the indicator 'ticking' noise often when the indicators arent on. I havent got a clue why this may be the case but its getting more frequent now and driving me up tha wall! Is it an electric connection/fuse probelm or something else? If anyone may know what causing this and could help, i would really appreciate any info/advice

Cheers

Probably caused by weak springs in the indicator switch.....putting gentle pressure downwards or upwards on the switch will ussually replicate and alloww you to confirm the cause of the problem.

If they are weak the repair is to replace the switch......or be irritated!

I have no idea why and it only did it occassionally for a couple of days but i was just drinving along, dint even go anywhere near the indicator stick and there was really fast ticking and i was really confused! then another day i pushed the button to heat my rear window and it did it again!! it hasnt done it since though!!! I have a 97(P) 1.1 Saxo. They have a mind of their own!!

HI Tom - get your indicator sorted? My wife's VTR indicators were doing that for a few months. Plume of smoke from stick on Monday and the stick fused! Got one off E-bay for £12.00 - bit of a pain to fit, but cheaper than the £120 Citroen quoted us to fix it!!
