Hi again, I just fitted a spoiler on my zx and it has a break light in it, I managed to wire it up and get it working. I thought it was great, untill I noticed that when i turn my lights on at night the break light on the spoiler comes on, then goes off when I press the break pedal.....

I wired it up to the actuall bulb socket because of the wierd rear light cluster.

Could someone either tell me which wire is for which light on the plug (i need to know which is the one for the break light) or give me a better way to wire it up?

I was thinking of buying more wire and just wiring it up to the switch behind the break pedal??

here's a pic of it:

Many thanks guys.

Connecting directly to the switch will do you no good, since you only have a positive (+) voltage in there, where the switch is just a breaker on the way.

You should connect one wire from the 3rd braking light to the car's chasis (-) somewhere (not the rear door, as it made of Fiberglass which is no good for that purpose. find a metal to connect to.

The other wire should go to the center part of the bulb socket, where the (+) is connected and this will feed (voltage) the spolier braking light.
