Mat Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 Do the brake pads have a warning light that tells me the pads are worn and need replacing? My C4 has done 25k miles, there is still plenty of wear left on the tyres, but i'm not so sure about the brakes. Quote
hertsnminds Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 I have just replaced my tryes after 28.5k miles but the brake pads are still the originals. At the last service (25k) the garage said they did not need changing. I think there is a worn brake pad warning, can't remember off hand what it is without looking in the handbook. C4VTS Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 I would expect the brake discs to need replacing when the pads have worn out. Quote

I got 43,000 miles from my front brake pads and 57,000 from the disks There is a Faq on measuring disk wear here C4 Front Disk Wear Measurements and a 'How To' on changing front pads and disks here C4 Front Brake pad and disk replacement At 64,000 the rear pads and disks are still original BTW Quote
