Skipweasel Posted September 25, 2007 Posted September 25, 2007 The carpet in my estate boot is wet. It's only along the back edge and seems to be seeping in round the seal at the bottom where the bumper is pressed against it. Anyone with an estate - can you have a quick look and see whether there's a small gap between the level bit of the bumper and the rubber seal on yours? Perhaps mine's had a soft tail-ender at some point and it's a bit distorted or perhaps there's some other reason. I'll probably just file a slot in the front edge of the plastic to let rainwater drain away before it can get a chance to soak through the hatch seal but it'd be nice to know how it's supposed to work. Thanks - Skipweasel. Quote
kfk Posted September 26, 2007 Posted September 26, 2007 Remove the interior trim panel for the tailgate and check the plastick membrane under it is sealed correctly. Quote

I need to get into the hatch's innards anyway 'cos the boot lock's noisy and getting lazy. Quote
