19499787 Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 I've just purchased a second user, very much cared for Xsara SX TD (1999 diesel estate model) It appears to have a full service history, but I can find no mention of the Timing/Cam belt, even in the pages to be completed. Is there a timing belt? Can some kind person advise me what milage it should be changed? Anything else I should look out for? many thanks Quote
Johndouglas Posted October 27, 2007 Posted October 27, 2007 Since yours is a 1999 model, it's likely that its engine is pre HDI. It certainly has a timing belt fitted and in 1999 the recommended mileage for change was 80000 or 54000 for arduous conditions. Quote
