Key in ignition. Code in. Turn engine over - engine starts. Back out of drive. Get about 50 yards, car dies. Turn engine over again...and again...ad infinitum. Eventually splutters. Need to rev very high. manage to get back onto drive. No matter how much I rev...engine slowly dies. On the odd occasion that I can keep it revving, it somehow gets better and can be used all day without problem. I'd be very grateful for any advice/help. Thank you

I had the exact same problem with a diesel version.

The result was a broken gasket in the injection pump which was only found by Bosch after lengthy investigation.

Aparently, it is a small gasket which maintains the fuel pressure and doesn't allow it to flow back to the fuel tank/

If you have a diesel, it might be worth taking it to a diesel specialist.
