Guest rowls Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 Would anybody have any ideas where i could buy the tool you need to wind the front calipers back in when you change the brake pads. I used to work at a citroen dealer and just used to borrow the one out of the workshop when ive changed them before! Any suggestions greatly appreciated as ive made a couple of enquiries and have been told the one for xantia and xm is only available as part of a £90 kit!! Cheers, Stu. Quote

Guest Colin Hunter Posted November 20, 2007 Posted November 20, 2007 http://www.tool-catalogue.co.uk/tools.php/...roducts_id/6243 good old draper tools You don't really need a bespoke wind back tool. The end of the caliper piston has 4 diametrically opposed slots. you can wind the piston back, albeit slowly, by using a square piece of steel that will fit between two of the slots. I used an old square file last time. The tool only comes into it's own if you're doing the job all the time. Cheers Quote
