Muscle Building Clutch Pedal

I've got a '99 1.8i VTR. The clutch pedal is better off in a gym. Is this the same with all xsara clutch pedals or is it just mine.

 

is there any way to alter it so that its not so hard to press down?

 

there's no problems with it slipping or anything.

I know some clutches do feel heavier on older cars but it shouldnt require too much effort to press them. maybe the cable is a bit stiff or maybe the clutch itself has gone heavy?

hi tim my xsara hdi has done 44000 miles and the clutch is light and after putting a clutch and cable in my saxo that is very light you may need to replace the clutch cable or the clutch and cable

I have a 1800 vtr ,it clutch pedal is very heavy as well.I also have a 1400lx which has a very lightclutch pedal, and I have always put it down to the 1800 having stronger clutch springs!

its the automatic adjuster where it goes through the bulk head ( it sticks ) but clears when you double the clutch,

I had a new clutch fitted because I thought it was that and it was a new cable required and a big lesson to me because of the wasted cost of a new clutch ;)
