Before you remove the door interior,

Try repeated lock/unlock using the button on the dashboard.

Also, try locking the car with the driver's door open. This sometimes will unlock the rear door when the locking fails and all doors unlock.

AS for the rear suspension fault, look at the rear tyres from a way behind the car. Are one or both of them splayed outwards? Swing arm bearings worn if so, I think.

Hi, had a similar problem& it is possible to remove the inside door panel with the door locked. You should hear the mechanism operating when locking unlocking using remote. If this happens chances are the dead lock motor inside the lock is not operating and tapping on the lock with a small hammer whilst operating the remote control lock & unlocking will possibly unlock the door. Unfortunately this lock when removed is sealed (riveted) but one is able to open it, but some engineering skills will be required to drill and tap the two riveted sections and use screws to reassemble it. Careful dismantling of this unit, with pictures to show relocation of the components, will help to reassemble the unit after checking micro switches and motors. A new unit cost about ₤86 but is more expensive here in S.A. I am happy to say that mine is sorted but I have fitted an emergency release just in case. I have pictures if you would like.

I managed to open my door by vibrating the door from the inside with an air chisel resting on a block of wood so as to not damage the door whilst unlocking door. Kind regards, 2004hm
