Guest Visa10E Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Hi there I've just had a diesel additive top up and forced regen performed on my 02 C5 2.2 HDI exclusive, but have been told that the ECU needs replacing to make the 'minimum level' warning go away, Ive heard this is a design fault on the earlier cars, so if I was to get the ECU replaced would it be a later model ECU which wouldn't need replacing like on later C5's? kfk Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Interesting subject this additve ecu reset......weve had 3 C8's in this week, cant do a reset on any of them.....called in a favour from one of our local one man bands and he hooked up his diagnostic kit and cleared the faults in all 3 within 20minutes...and he'd never done it before... So my advice at the moment would be to see if you have anyone in your area that can clear the fault.....if they have the official citroen equipment i doubt it will work, we have 6 laptops equiped with various versions of the manfacturers software and none of them work...............maybe iannez would like to toss his 2 penneth in Quote
iannez Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 always replace the ecu's mate. never heard anything about anyone being able to reset the older models. do you know what diag tool he used kev. Quote
