WeeMan Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I have a Breaking Fault warning coming up on the display. I start off and after a couple of minutes the breaks seem to apply themselves briefly, then go off, shortly afterwards I get "beep, beep, beep" and Breaking Fault on the display but no apparent problem with the breaks. Any clues would be appreciated. Quote
old'uns Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 might seem bizarre, but... check your brakelight bulbs!had this 2 yrs ago, 80 ish, car braked on its own slowed to 70 ish, scared me to death!turned out i'd somehow got a stop/tail bulb into a single filament bulb holder causing gremlins on the brake circuit  Quote

WeeMan Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 funnily enough I have recently noticed that the high level break light remains on for a long time, although dimly, when I lock the car. Could this be involved??? Quote
