Had a new turbo fitted under warranty last August to my September 2005 C5 2.0 HDI after only 25.000 miles. Cutting a long story short, the turbo is being replaced again as I write. Diagnosed by Citroen UK in Slough as faulty. Do I lose faith in the car? Last August, classic symptoms of bearings getting very noisy...failure to follow etc. This time, intermittent fault causing car to lose turbo power across all range. Is there an inherent fault that's chewing up turbos? Should I be worried that I've only got 5 months warranty left....don't want to be faced with an enormous bill etc. My feeling is that to replace the turbo might be an easy option but is there an underlying problem?

99.9% it will be the oil feed is low pressure or blocked.

Is the car driven hard on the motorway then stopped very suddenly?

Thanks for your answer! Long motorway cruise (85mph probable average) from Kendal down M6 late at night, and an abrupt stop to pay at M6 Toll....problem occurred immediately I pulled away from standing start. Will enquire whether this has been either thought of or checked. Jascha
