AndrewDavison Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 A couple of months ago, I had a problem where the electrics stopped working for a day, and then they seemed to sort themselves out. The only problem now is when I put the handbrake on, the oil light lights up instead of the brake (!) light on the dashboard. Is this a 'computer' problem ? Would it cost much to get it sorted ? Doesn't seem to be causing any problems at the moment, more of an annoyance ! Think the car is on it's last legs, as hatchback struts have gone on the boot, exhaust rattles (but may just need tightening) Cheers,Andrew Quote
kfk Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 the fault with the handbrake/oil warning light will require a new instrument panel to resolve.....not uncommon. Quote

Do you know what the cost might be ? I can live with it if it won't cause a problem !! Can't afford to replace anyything at the moment :D Quote
