bangermalc Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 Now the bottom of the diesel filter housing there is a tube, clear plastic, mine is hanging straight down, anybody know where it should go? Quote
iannez Posted July 2, 2008 Posted July 2, 2008 does not go to anything.its the drain pipe. it hangs down the front of the gearbox. just stops diesel going all over the engine when when you drain the filter. Quote
dmcclymont Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 Sorry to butt in on this post (but I am sure original posted will need this advice as well) How hard is it to change the diesel filter - I did it on a ZX once 1.9TD, just reprimed with the bulb tool, but the 2.0 HDI does not have one of those? Johndouglas Posted July 27, 2008 Posted July 27, 2008 , but the 2.0 HDI does not have one of those? Oh yes it does..................Oh no it doesn't....................Oh yes it - well ours does. I used it just last week when I changed the filter. Press down the inserts on the two pipes and disconnect. Likewise with the electric connector. Use a wrench to spin off the ring and lift off the top. Lift out the old cartridge, empty the bowl and clean out sediment. Fit new cartridge and ring and replace the top. A few squeezes on the primer and away it goes. Quote
