Hi,
Phoned up to find out how much it would cost to renew the Citroen Assist cover, as we're heading off to France next week and my normal RAC cover doesn't cover Europe.
I'd heard that renewal cost was expensive, but turns out that due to a clerical error, we've got two years cover instead of the usual 12 months!
Apparently the van version of the Blingo gets 2 years cover and they thought our multispace was a van! :D
They've just confirmed the extra 12 months cover in writing!
Cheerz.

That's a result.

Generally I would have thought that a commercial would get less in the way of "retail benefits" not more.

Our C2 ran out of Citroen Assist first so we took out the discounted RAC personal cover for both of us at that point. So at least we don't need to worry about the Blingo.

They were however monumentally incompetent with the paperwork (such that my wife is actually the member not me - and both of the cars are registered in my name).

That'll teach me not to switch back to the AA. However, as they made me redundant after 15 years loyal service man and boy (not in that order of course) I felt that I would take my business elsewhere.

I've finally found that the site is back, hurrah!!

Interesting to hear what Oxy says about Citroen Assist lasting for two years on his Blingo. It might explain why I had not received a renewal notice.

Welcome back Dickie,

I think I may have jumped the gun by going for normal personal cover on the C2 because we haven't recieved a reminder on our Blingo either.

Our Blingo is 1 year old on the 16th (just renewed the insurance £279 - not bad for a London postcode and no garage) so we should have had a reminder on the Citroen Assist by now.

If this is 2 year cover on the Blingo, presumably it includes Europe - that'll save a few bob in August. Does anyone have this two year thing in writing anywhere or can point me to where to look on the paperwork.

UPDATE 1630

I think Oxy's had a personal result - it might have been nice if Citroen said one thing and the RAC's systems couldn't tell the difference between a Van and a Multispace and said the other. Anyway, I've spoken to both Citroen and the RAC, and they both say my cover has expired. Ho - hum.

So, I'll need some euro cover.

Thants ok when my brother had is brand new C3 in Feb 2003 late 52 plate the dealer gave the terms and condition and stickers to put on the car it was greenflag when we caleed them in March 2003 to fix a fault they said they haven't been apart of Citroen Assist for months its RAC you should be contacting but luckily RAC is the Motability Breakdown service anyway. I got a motability car its just over a month old but if I have any faults within the year I will use Citroen Assist because why should Motability pay for any faults within the first year.
