C5 Sump Plug

can anyone tell me what tool i need to remove the c5 sump plug (2004 2.2 hdi) and at what milage the pollen filter needs changing

For the sump plug you'll need an 8mm hex and the pollen filter at 20K.

Sometimes the 8mm hex can be chewed up from butchered attempts. Try a 21mm ring spanner on the outer edge of the sump plug or even better use both at the same time m8. Do not use a 21mm socket & ratchet, it will just chew the outer nut up!. Replacement sump plugs can be bought from Halfords complete with compression washers for a couple of quid, just give the registration of your car to the guy on the parts counter and he can then tell you the right one to use. :unsure:
