train Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 :P Hi can anyone help? My 1.4 xsara was broken into and when stealing the radio the thieves cut the wires!!! I am trying to fit a new radio but I am having trouble identifying which wire goes where. Following the haynes manual has not helped much as it does not show you which wire is the negative and positive and I dont want to guess. Thanks in advance. P.s Any information would be gratefully apprecited. Quote
Prentender Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 Is it not covered on insurance ? Perhaps where you purchased you new radio from may be able to assist. What about trying those guys and girls @ I.C.E (In Car Entertainment) Discussion forumn. Sorry I could not be of further assistance. Quote
train Posted May 4, 2008 Author Posted May 4, 2008 Hi thanks for the information. Ive tried the shop, but they wont touch and have suggested an auto electritian!!!! lots of money!!! I am trying not to claim the insurance as I dont have protected no claims and my excess is £200. I have not tried the forum you suggested, I will go onto that now. Thanks again :  Quote
kfk Posted May 4, 2008 Posted May 4, 2008 To get the most help it always helps to tell us as much information about the vehicle as possible.....an RP NO is always a good start as it will give us a good idea of the build date. From Memory there are a choice of three wiring configurations for the Xsara. Quote
