Okay situation is this:

Battery is good on starting it turns over fine but no firing

diagnosed the ecu, reports no codes

tested: fuel pump fine

injector fine

idle motor fine

manual tested the coil resistances are correct, have a new one and its the same as that...tried it anyhow and didnt make any difference. Could be the spark but theres nothing at all so unlikely to be all of them since it worked the previous week. Only things left i can think off is cleaning the injector oe replace ignition module. Any ones thoughts on this one? Ive checked all the cables seems all connected.

HI yes it could be the ignition module but first i would check under the ecu there is a white multiplug which burns out inside you will see if you pull it apart also it could be the tdc sensor

The white plug under the ecu ussually causes loss of fuel pressure and has no effect on the spark......my guess would be to get the engine speed sensor checked.....a faulty speed sensor wont always give a fault code.

Tell us how you get on.

That is the ballast resistor right? I havent taken it apart but it doesnt look burnt on the outside....

well the tps is part of the manifold and it says in manual not to remove it, if its knackered its a new throttle body, im wondering if it maybe a leak on the injector o ring...or some wire behind the manifold i hear is a problem getting too hot. Il have a more detailed look later today...

Okay, heres an update, ballast resistor is okay since the injector fires. Ive tested voltage on the coil on start and its 0v, thats at the relay end, which should be at 12v i take it? It briefly flashes 12v on the ignition setting before starting. So i dont know if its the relay? So only things left it can be is crank position sensor, ignition/injector relay and the ecu itself. Since the ignition controller is in the ecu. None of the other sensors failing will stop it from actually starting up as far as i am aware at least.
