Xsara 1999 1.4i Help Needed

I have just recently purchased a Xsara with 49000 mile son, and I have a few questions i need help on.

 

Can someone please tell me when the cam belt should be changed, and also, it has the standard cassette/tape player installed, do i just replace with a normal cd/mp3 player, or do i need to change the facia/surround aswell?

75K for the timing belt change ( 60k if driving hard ) classed as adverse conditions

radio MP3 holds more than a CD player but most are going down the iPOD road and not cheap you might have to add a new surround for the new radio and if you have steering wheel buttons you will need special leads to keep them working

Thanks a million, do you know the servicing intervals on a 1.4? Also, is the cd surround and special leads I need etc, something I can get from Halfords?

I believe halfords do the surround but not sure about the cable adaptor ( most people just fit the radio and do way with the steering wheel buttons ) but if you have a display then its nice to see it work, you could try the dealer or an audio fitters place "dont let them fit it unless your prepared to pay a lot" even halfords charge too much to fit a radio
