marktime Posted July 17, 2008 Author Posted July 17, 2008 and wont compare to the DS apart from fuel consumption/repairs/spares lol Hi Techbod, I can't see anything in todays market to rival the DS, it is a classic in design and enginering. In truth most of todays cars are just boxes with wheels on, it's just a matter of arranging the engine and styling in a way that suit you best, cost is one of the most significant factors. I like to think the Prius is pretty unique in terms of technollogy but in stying it's a bit bland. MarkTIme Quote
citroeneddie Posted July 17, 2008 Posted July 17, 2008 Marktime Welcome to the Forum, let us know how you get on. I've had loads of Citroens, all fine except an early 03 Pluriel with roof leaks. Regards Eddie Quote

marktime Posted August 8, 2008 Author Posted August 8, 2008 I get my 1.6hdi Rhythm in September. How is you wife finding the car ? MPG ? Have you fitted an mp3 player or some way to connect an iPod ? Any niggles with the car ? Hi Robcmar, we only picked it up on Monday and it has not had much use yet, but very pleased with it so far. Something like 55mpg at the mo but that's over less than 100 miles so not a valid test, I expect it to improve when she goes back to work in September. I do want to get some kind of MP3 player attachment but have not looked into it yet, the transmitter type would be good. I don't know if one exists that will take power from the accessory socket and then charge the MP3 player thru the USB? Ours is a Cachet, we were going for the Rhytum but the dealer could not find the colour we wanted so he took the hit on the difference between the Rythumn and Cachet (about £150 for the alloy wheels) markTime Quote

Don't think I'll bother with iPod connections, will use my iTrip transmitter, not perfect but better than having to fit cables. Quote
Guest Ti2oses Posted August 13, 2008 Posted August 13, 2008 Hello all, I've just bought a used C3 Pluriel convertible (2004) on Saturday and enjoying it. I found this site on a little research I'm doing on the car (a bit belated), I did read the reviews before bought it, although I had made up my mind to buy anyway whatever I found out and most of the complains were leaking roofs! We did check the inside of the car, like for smell of damp or something but it was alright. It was yesterday that I noticed that the rug in the boot seemed damp (slightly wet) :D but I can't be too sure if it was from a leak yet or something else (I can't think what), the car is on a month's warranty from the dealer so I have to be sure as quickly as possible. So I thought I'd join this forum and learn more about the car as all the other sites have got nothing but negative comments on it. Has anyone here experienced a leaking roof and what did you do? :( Quote
CE08LDB Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Good Choice try and keep the Lynx Alloys clean as much as possible as the ones on my C3 Exclusive were a nightmare to clean due to the small spokes like. And the ones on my Brothers C3 Exclusive the nuts are rusting now. For God Sake don't let a tyre Garage use a wheel gun on them as Kwik Fit had used the gun on mine and made my locking wheel nuts go blunt. Citroen says as well not to use tyre guns on the alloy locking wheel nuts Quote
