eppingboy Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 One of the interior courtesy lights (Not Map Lights) stopped working on my Nov 1998 1.9td Xantia. I checked the bulb, which was ok, cleaned the contacts etc, replaced the bulb and connector only to find that the other interior light had stopped working along with the boot light.I checked ALL the fuses Twice and all are ok.I even checked the fuses under the bonnet just to satisfy myself that all avenue's had been checked. The handbook and the Haynes manual do not mention a fuse for these lights on this model, but it is mentioned for the ealier model, 1993 up to Jan 1998, in the Haynes manual, but they don't correspond with this modelAre there any "Hidden" fuses anywhere on the car. Or am I missing the obvious somewhere?Any help would be much appreciated................... Quote
techbod Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 I have the face-lift 2000 II and the handbook and fuses for storage box/reading lamps are F22 5 amp/ F28 15 amp but personally don't think that's your problem and it could be a bad earth on the doors or the contacts on the boot/hatch have burned out or failed to make a good contact so worth a look Quote

But I'll give it a go. Cheers Quote
techbod Posted July 28, 2008 Posted July 28, 2008 there is an earth point in the roof/map lighting check to see if its connected you might have knocked it off when replacing the unit and good luck as this can be frustrating Quote
