Guest magpie Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I have 54 reg C3 1.4 auto. The diagnostic warning light readout carried out at a citroen garage indicates that there is a problem with the catalytic converter but I've had a new one fitted and the warning light still keeps coming on. Has anyone any ideas as to what the real problem might be, or have any other owners had similar problems Quote
kfk Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 presumably you decided to take the vehicle from the main dealer after the diagnosis and have a cheaper alternative fitted. It maybe the the light will go out in the next 48 hours.....if not you need to return to the dealer and get it rechecked in case the computer requires resetting......you dont want to drive it too much with the light on as it could damage your new catalytic convertor. Thanks for the advice, but after I had the cat fitted I had the computer reset. The light then came on again about a week later with the same problem diagnosed. I then had another cat fitted, becaue the garage thought the old cat was faulty, but then the light came on again about 8 weeks later with the same problem. Any suggestions Quote
