Morning All,

I'm just wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction as to where I can find the clutch adjuster on my 1995 Citroen Xsara 1.4i, I've had a good scout around and i can't find it, thanks in advance for your help.

should be on the end of the cable on the gearbox and it should have an automatic tensioner where it goes through the bulk head ( not adjustable ) but they tend to stick and a little wd40 could help there

You sure its a xsara ? they never came out till 1997 !

correct but if it has the cable it has the auto adjuster where it goes into the bulk head, the year of the car doesn't matter that much because under the skin was the same

Looking at Mk2 Xsara HDi's for eldest - all around 90K but the clutches and steering a lot heavier that our 182k mk1 - do I recall an issue with the clutch cable seizing due to lube being leeched from the outer sheath?? Doesn't answer the steering issue BUt that could be tracking/pressures etc but strange and we've driven 1/2 a dozen over the weekend, ABS reluctant to activate - 1 locked up front wheels leaving a nice set of tracks on the road! 1 stopped without skid but no ABS - all have working lamps which extinguish......
