Overheat Warning And Other Solutions

Hi all - first posting on the group.

I've had some frustrations with Citroen not giving advice on technical issues and have sorted most of these out myself. In particular the temperature sensors and resetting the overheat warning, and an unrelated issue of all the analogue instrumentation failing. Both were easy fixes once I had them worked out. Is there an archive of tech info I can post to, or should I put it all here? Anything to avoid others having to use the £1.50 / min Citroen tech advice line.

how do you reset the overheat warning light, as mine is coming on but the temp is normal,i've changed the sensor to no avail, any help pleae????

you cant reset an over heat light but you might have a bad connection or the coolant temp sensor is shot which causes the temp gauge to read over heat because its shorted so a new temp sensor should sort it ( hopefully ) I hate those things with only a light and no gauge

edit# update is it the cat that's overheating and not the coolant check this link out and look at the symbols of the bottom of the post.
