Hope you get a definitive answer and a cure for the problem - interesting one isn't it Quote
techbod Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 the speed is normally out by 5 mph but the other way round 35 = 30 at least that's what my sat nav says, you cant alter it unless you have access to diagnostic tools, have you done any wheel mods? how do you know its going faster than the speedo says? sat nav by chance if yes then use the sat nav to control your speed till you get it sorted Quote
Rusty068 Posted August 9, 2008 Author Posted August 9, 2008 Hi,car is standard with 195/55 r14 85h tyres, speed test was carried out driving next to 2 other cars via mobile phones to check. The garage where i bought the car from are going to fix it,so w8ing till monday for any info/date about this.Lots of cameras around my address so no driving it atm as i do not have any way of checking speed inside car lolHopefully it will be some kind of speedo resetGreetz Rusty Quote
techbod Posted August 9, 2008 Posted August 9, 2008 not a very good way to check the speed because the other car might have been pulling away from you even though you think it wasn't so very unreliable, good luck at the garage Quote
