flitwick Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Hi all bit worryed my C5 headlights like coming on on there own is may be a fault with the dodgey com2000 thing so ive been told but these are £261 from citroen plus fitting them has to be done at citroen as well is this right ? As you can inmagine is there anything elese I should be looking at Quote
myglaren Posted August 12, 2008 Posted August 12, 2008 Could it be something as simple as you have them on automatic? If so you can turn it off if you wish. The procedure is in the handbook but IIRC you put the key in the ignition, set the light stalk control to 'Auto' and press the button on the end for two seconds. I leave mine on auto, doesn't cause any problems. Quote

Yes. Do you have the owner's manual? If so, it will tell you how to disable the feature that turns the lights on and off automatically. If not, then please post the exact model and year of C5 that you have so someone can tell you how to turn this feature off or send you a scan of the relevant page in the manual. It sounds like the light sensor is not working properly. The cheapest fix for this is to go to manual lights only. Quote
